Sewer Connection Requirements

For most properties with functioning septic systems, connection to the sewer system is voluntary.  However, there are certain situations that may require connection. 

Connection to the sewer system is generally required for:

• New construction

• When making major modifications to an existing home or structure

• When an onsite septic system has failed or needs repair 

Although there are more than 100 miles of sewer main lines throughout the City of Apache Junction, not all properties can be connected to the sewer system.  To find out if your property can be connected, complete a Sewer Service Inquiry or call (480) 941-6754, Option 1.
