District Receives CAFR Award
The Superstition Mountains Community Facilities District No. 1 is pleased to announce that it has received the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting for its Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) for the eighth straight year. This recognition, bestowed by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA), is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting and its attainment represents a significant accomplishment by the District and its management. The District’s CAFR has been judged by an impartial panel to meet the GFOA’s high standards including demonstrating a constructive “spirit of full disclosure” to clearly communicate its financial story. The GFOA is a nonprofit professional association servicing approximately 18,000 government finance professionals with offices in Chicago, IL and Washington DC.
